The one thing I enjoy about this image is the patterning of the tail moving across from left to right. Otherwise, it's a snapshot of captive Alligators. The use of flash seems much too obvious and the background Alligator much too blurred. The right and lower crops seem too tight. The claw at the bottom needs a little room as well as does the snout of the main alligator.

I didn't use a flash....

Thanks for that correction. Regardless ... the lighting here seems very harsh and does not flatter the image.

Well I never had the chance to take photos of this little guys so I don't know if they move a lot or not. So I don't really know if you had a lot of time to get them in the position you wanted, Still I'd try a different F value to see if the second alligator. would be so blurred.
Still I liked it.

I would simply crop the little guy on the back out or clone him out...

I like the image..

Liking the lighting, as the gators emerge nice and sharply from the black void of water. Kinda agree with the others about the 2nd guy's blurriness, but I assume the lighting conditions--and movement of the subjects--precluded a different aperture value. If anything, I wonder if there's some way to correct the chromatic aberation (?) in the lower right. (thumbup)

the second one is quite disturbing as is quite present, but out of focus, but that's been said. I'd have tried another angle: it's too horizontal for me.
great colours, though.
